Masquers Theatre Fundraising

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN

With the economy the way it is right now we understand that the last thing most of you want to hear is another organization asking you for your help with fundraising goals.

There are many important pieces that make up a strong community and one that is often overlooked is the local arts programs. There are schools, sports teams, youth groups and many, many more deserving of your help. You probably cannot support all these groups, but unlike these other groups we are an all volunteer organization with our only source of income being ticket sales and individual donors like yourselves.

Unlike many of the area theatres Masquers Theatre has managed to meet it's commitments this past year. There are many reasons for this such as the huge success of our summer show, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor© Dreamcoat" and the generosity of many local people who helped us out by doing some holiday shopping at our silent auction early in December raising almost $3000 to be invested in new sound equipment for our future. Of course all the many hours and sacrifices of our volunteers and Board of Directors deserve ample recognition as well, for without their efforts we would not exist. Thank you all for keeping live community theatre thriving in Forest Lake!

Even though we are not in dire straights because of our hard work and planning, that does not mean that we can ever rest on our laurels. Shows like "Joseph" can cost us much as $25,000+ for us to present even before the first ticket is sold.

In our long term strategic plan we have a goal of eventually finding our own permanent theatre in Forest Lake so that we can expand our offering even further. To advance this dream and maintain the high quality of our theatre performances, and our theatre education camps we ask that you remember us if you are thinking of making any charitable donations.

Donations do not have to be just cash either. Support us by volunteering your time or expertise, consider an in kind donation of your businesses services, and most importantly please support us by coming out and purchasing tickets to our shows.
